Suzuki "Parents as Partners Online" sessions (持续更新)

钢琴老师给我们注册了一个workshop,是suzuki协会组织的网上讲座。

今天听了第一课,
listening like a maniac!
让孩子一遍一遍听同一个piece,重复听(注意,是同一个曲子,而不是一张盘来回听)。据说这样做,孩子提高很快。
我是懒人,我就是放一张cd,来回听。

practice every day!! making playing the instruments a habit early on。

positive, persistent, and play。
不要过于Push,让孩子感到不舒服。(这个是我们说的3个zone,comfortable zone, challenging zone, threaten zone。到对孩子有挑战的zone就可以了,不要再push到孩子的极限,以至于感到非常不舒服。)

suzuki的理念:不急于求成,但是也不要停止。never hurry never rest
讲座的老师提到10000 hours rule,哈哈哈 outlier很流行啊
believe in work -- 不是能力,而是态度。
哈哈哈,这一个讲座基本上引用了很多outlier里的例子//幸亏我早就看过了

每一阶段,让孩子设定一个goal。把这个目标写下来,放在琴盒里,每天提醒他们,激励他们(younger ones need more guide)。
deep practice,超越comfortable zone。
we will work on something until it doesn't work。 if it is too easy, the kids will get bored. too hard, kids will be frustrated。
seeking about specific struggle: pick a target, reach for it, evaluate the gap between the target and the reach, return to step one (adjust the target)
trunk it up--break something down
slow it down--how slow you can do it correctly
repeat it
这里提到,当我们set goal的时候,有没有问孩子的意见,孩子能不能进行自我评估,这也很重要。

哈哈哈,这个讲座者建议父母给课程录像。我就是这么做滴!
在家里练习的时候,non-verbal communication
like nike sign, just do it... let they think about it/say it to themselves, for young kids, let themselves make a sign to remind themselves
use different things to remind the child// hotel bell, if anything doesn't present, ring the bell
thought bag: make children think about what's our goal, then do the review piece,practice

why (not) the next piece
we can only focus/work on only one thing at a time.  if we add second thing, third thing, that means nothing will be done perfectly.
keep working on one thing for a week, and the progress will be made.
if a child gets bored, what should we do?
1, try to avoid it.
2, record the piece daily, do the scale
3, practice regularly
be careful, not to kill the child's motivation.
